lycée books is a parent-to-parent used-book exchange for families of the Lycée Français de Los Angeles. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: hello@lyceebooks.com.

What we collect

How we use it

To run the exchange: build your book list, show what other families have available, process orders, coordinate pickup at school, send you transactional emails (confirmations, receipts, account links), and improve the site.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that make the exchange work:

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your cart. Analytics that use a cookie run only after you accept them in the banner — you can decline and the site still works. Basic traffic counts via Vercel are cookieless.

Data retention

We keep your information while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated data at any time.

Your choices

You can view and update your profile in your account, decline analytics cookies, and request access to or deletion of your data by emailing hello@lyceebooks.com.

Children’s privacy

lycée books is intended for parents and guardians, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Grade and section details are entered by the adult account holder.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, payout details are encrypted at rest, and database access is restricted by row-level security. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We’ll change the date above when we do. Questions? Email hello@lyceebooks.com.
